Completing the Declaration section for your returns

In order to successfully submit your returns to both Companies House and HMRC, you will be required to provide the name of the individual who has formally signed off the Corporation Tax Return and Annual Accounts for submission. This is typically a company director or the company secretary who holds the legal responsibility for approving the accuracy and completeness of the company's financial submissions.

In addition to the signatory's name, you will also need to enter the date on which the returns were signed off. This date is important as it forms part of the official record of the submission and confirms that the accounts and return were reviewed and approved prior to filing. It is worth noting that the sign-off date should reflect the actual date on which the director or authorised individual formally approved the documents, rather than the date of submission itself.

Please ensure that both the signatory name and sign-off date are accurate before proceeding, as these details are included within the filed documents and form part of the official record held by HMRC and Companies House.
